With a simple adapter Jagwire's engineers came up with an ingenious solution that now allows this lightweight externally mounted shifter mount to be compatible with both SRAM and Shimano SL bar end shifting systems. The sleek low profile design shaves precious grams off the weight of a bicycle and its external mounting is adjustment and service friendly. And the external mount makes the BarCon very versatile. While originally designed for triathlon bikes the mount can be used in a variety of applications including H-type handle bars, touring style drop bars and recumbent bike handle bars. It contains the complete shifting cable set, incl. 2,3m inner shifting cables and 2,1m housings with L3 inner lubrication, which reduces friction while shifting, especially where housing bends. So durability of the shifting cable will be increased.
